Days 26-30; Plein air and portraits

Day 26

I was able to get out and do more plein air, this time St. Peter's Catholic Church on Seven Mile Bay. St. Peter's was built in 1852, but has gone through remodels and renovations since, most notably after a lightning fire in 1955.

I also managed to sketch a portrait of our youngest, which I've wanted to do a long time. I hope to turn this into a watercolour eventually!

Day 28

Managed to get out and do a few sketches when we went to the beach. A lot of impressions and half finished ones because I’m not used to the speed with which things change in plein air! I did manage to get this one of a dad (who was standing with his girls although I wasn’t able to draw them) before they moved out of the pose.

Day 29

Another Timothee Chalamet. Still doesn’t look like him.

Day 30
I’m quite proud of this one. Lucian and I are fans of the show Clarkson’s Farm, so here’s Jeremy Clarkson!

Til next time!
