Days 5-10
Happily, I’m starting to realize that I need to make light, definitive lines when sketching faces. I tend to go over the same line over and over with many attempts, and those attempts widen the line. It’s much easier to rejig a wrong yet definite, light line than a bunch of squiggles! I think I have realized this before but this challenge really er, challenges me to put it into practice!
(5) Tired, and today was just crazy busy. Finally had the girls’ dresser set up. The bad news is it took the whole morning to assemble. Here’s a few attempts at a nose.
(6/7) I didn’t draw yesterday, so I’m calling this day 6/7. I attempted Saoirse Ronan’s face today, the first is mostly inaccurate, the second is a little better, but I got a neck cramp so I’ll finish it tomorrow, I hope!
(8) a very rough attempt at Prince Charles (soon to be king), and my finished Saoirse Ronan. To me, it’s not an exact likeness, but I’m happy with my portrait-drawing progress nonetheless. To my pleasant surprise, I found that I was able to rough in Prince Charles, and see proportions and relations a lot faster. I feel like I always draw my eyes a tad big.
An attempt at Timmy’s side profile. Timothee, your face will not win. I will learn to draw you.
(9) I think today’s attempt at the side profile is a lot more accurate, if I say so myself
There's no day 10. Today's crazy lol.
Also, I’m very happy to say my Banshees of Inisherin study and Quiet at Port Borden have gone to a good home. Thanks, T!!
