I'm alive! It has been a while. I've been having terrible headaches lately because of my allergies, and probably a virus I caught, and I'm slowly but surely on the mend, planning out activities strategically. I still can't paint most days, but when I do, I'm grateful. Here is progress on my most recent project. I'm really excited about this one, but also a little antsy because it's looking like it will take a while.

I also got my first tube of Daniel Smith. It's Cobalt Blue, and I got it specifically for the bird. Swatched it a little yesterday. It's a little lighter than the French Ultramarine from the Winsor Newton Line, but seems to be in the exact same shade / tone? I don't know the technical word, but it's the same colour, just a little lighter.
