I finished the watercolour wash on my baby Jesus study. I have to constantly remind myself patience and to work small. Here it is!
Often, in watercolour, I feel like I’m being taken on a wild ride. A bit of that is a good thing for me personally so I don’t hate it lol. I wonder if that out of control feeling ever goes away, or, if like in performing a piece of music, one learns to make friends with it. I suspect the latter.
Things I’m currently looking at / reading:
1) We got this book from the library the other day and the illustrations are WONDERFUL.
2) They inspired me to work just in watercolour for this photo of Thomas Dunford that I want to copy:
3) It’s a screen cap from this most excellent performance.
4) I’m currently really digging Jill Poyerd’s YouTube channel. I definitely want to dig into her video about landscape composition and make more of those.
Thanks for reading!
