SATURDAY, MARCH 4, 2023 

Saturday was a great day for staying in. Friends in Ontario were walloped with a lot of snow, and although (or perhaps because) our snow came Thursday night, it felt like we were in the same snow day mood. 

So Lucian gifted me with a portrait-drawing course taught by Gabriela Niko from Domestika, and we spent the afternoon drawing faces together:

I must say, even though I resisted at first, ultimately, I'm really glad I am taking the course. Niko's approach to drawing anatomy first is clearing up a lot of things for me. It's also making a lot of things easier.

Got myself some Cadmium Red from the Winsor Newton line! 

I also had a really nice comment on the Etsy page. It really means a lot to me when my art is enjoyed, so it's always nice to get these.

I might start a line and wash after dinner.
