 As mentioned in the previous blog post, I wanted to make a portrait of Thomas Dunford. Here it is!

"The Lutenist"

Faber-Castell HB water-soluble graphite pencil,

Cotman and Winsor and Newton watercolours,

Sakura 01 ink pen

on Winsor and Newton 25% cotton, 300 gsm watercolour paper

7x6 inches

Process:

(1) pencil only

(2) activated the graphite with water

This was a bit of a trial, and there were many things I wish I'd done differently. I might try again with different materials, and less ink, but for now, this is my best attempt!
