Craft Fair-ing it up!
Saturday, March 11
Crafting update: I signed up for a table at the Credit Union Place Christmas Craft Fair, happening November 25!
I'm glad I have plenty of time to prepare for it, as it is quite a large craft fair with larger vendors than I. I'm mostly doing cards and bookmarks this year, but I do hope to have more completed paintings on sale as well. I'm also hoping to implement better packaging with Polly bags, and to standardize my card and painting sizes.
What a beautiful day the first half, what with the sun being out! I managed to get some piano practice and voice practice done. I messed around with some paints, I swatched all the colours in my current palette, and finally swatched my water-soluble pencils. I also experimented with layering Payne's Grey and French Ultramarine over them for a small project I hope to start soon.
I drew Lucian again:

Grateful for church and church community. Sunday school is fun haha. I'm still pretty tired, as I think youngest is going through a sleep regression or is quite possibly teething her molars, so she's been up pretty constantly. Nevertheless, it's been another sunny day, and I am thankful for the sunshine.
We took the long way home from church and ended up passing by Hunter River. Before leaving Charlottetown, we got some Asian goodies at the Asian mart, so we had a sushi plate type of situation at dinner time, which the kids hardly touched. Such is life.
Not much to say about art today. Days where other things (like house-cleaning, cooking, and music) take precedence, I still try to draw or paint something, and try not to think about it too much.
Although, I am looking at summer art events and my little heart is getting plenty excited. Trying not to rush through winter but MAN, it's hard! (And it's not like I have a say in it anyway!)
Hope you all had a good weekend, and a Happy March break to Ontario friends!
Mikhai
