Today, I’m painting the scene I originally did on the Winsor Newton paper:

To my Saunders Waterford paper:

 

I have process vids but they're super disjointed because I had quite a few interruptions. 

In the moment, I'm not super fond of this. I might tweak it a little bit later here and there as I wanted to try a couple of ideas I have.

This is not really related to making art, but I had the most delightful contact lens fitting today. The staff was marvelous, they were so kind to me and my kids, which warms my heart. I must commend the staff at Vogue Optical Summerside. Seriously, they're on another level. 

I don't think he reads this blog, but (I call him) my mentor R, a lovely artist from Tenessee (thank you, internet and socials!) has suggested a few things regarding my pencil and watercolour washes. It's always really nice to get suggestions from R as he's super encouraging, and his suggestion to me about using graphite and watercolour was really bang on. For me, it's opened up a new world. So, I'm going to try and get the pencils he suggested tomorrow, but in the meantime, I think after piano practice, I will be working on some watercolour.
